During the band's recent hiatus, flea bass player jazz trumpet himself to study the University of Southern California, music theory and composition as well as teaching himself the piano, which do you compose tracks for their latest album to change their approach.

He said: "I wrote music on piano which is a different approach for us. I didn't play piano much before but on this record I composed on the piano and so did [new guitarist] Josh [Klinghoffer].

"When you write on the piano, you write rhythm, bass and harmony and reinterpret it with a rock band.

"We'd never done anything like that before - it had always come from a guitar and bass and drums."

The band in which singer and drummer Chad Smith, Anthony Keidis are so successful their new approach to songwriting found the upcoming tenth album, 'I'm With You' for a great wealth of material, and had to cut it down.

Anthony said: "There was an absurd wealth of musical ideas and if we lived in a different time and place we could have put out a double or triple record.

"Writing songs wasn't an issue. It was getting rid of them that was difficult."

Red Hot Chili Peppers start work on comeback album on the day frontman died

The singer explains on his website: “Brendan came to Hollywood from the UK in the mid 70s, and helped start the punk rock scene in LA. His thing was promoting new music and he went on to be the booker for Club Lingerie on Sunset Strip in the 80s.

“In 1983 Flea and I spent our last dime recording a demo tape. We barged into Club Lingerie in the middle of the day and found Brendan. He listened to the tape on our boombox while we danced around wildly to convey the sort of energy we were bringing to the table.

“He offered us a slot opening for Bad Brains, who at that point were the kings of the scene. We took the gig and started a friendship with Brendan that continued until he died.”

Kiedis telling his bandmates, his friends had died, was left with the task, He says: “I was driving into the studio when I got a text saying Brendan had died of a massive stroke, on his birthday.

“When I got to rehearsal I delivered the news that we’d just lost this beautiful person.

“Then we started playing without really talking. Probably the second thing that came out of that jam was the basis for Brendan’s Death Song.

“It does have a sort of death-march feel to it, but it’s more of a celebration than a bummer. Yes, we lost a good man – but he had a very full life."

Red Hot Chili Peppers have revealed UK and Ireland details of the field trip which is scheduled to take place in November.

The US rock banb will perform ten dates over three-night residency at London’s O2 Arena, on November 7, 9 and 10.

The tour kicks off in Dublin on November 4 and ends on November 20 in Birmingham.

Their new single 'The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie' was released this month.

According to TMZ report, now that time Red Hot Chili Peppers-themed would be different, artworks have revealed on the streets of LA and it's claimed that Mr. Brainwash is behind them.

The bands frontman Anthony Kiedis, who also help to promote their new album, which set will release on 30 August 2011.

Bansky documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop here was revealed the artist first seen, and he revealed to TMZ that he has plans to work with the band again in the future.

Kiedis told MTV News, "It seems pretty open, pretty apropos to where the band is, what the band's doing, how the record wants to be related to, or related with. It's open, and there's not really a negative connotation. It's inviting."

He was excited that the new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer on the album's title came and went with after producer Rick Rubin nixed Kiedis' idea to name the record after a song.

Kiedis continued, "When I mentioned that to Rick, he said, 'that just makes it seem like we don't have enough ideas. Josh showed up one day, wrote ['I'm With You'] on a piece of paper and we all kind of put our eyes on it at the same time and went: 'That is the title of our record.'"

I'm With You will be released on 30 August. It's first single, "The Adventure of Raindance Maggie," hits radio July 18.

He then revealed that the new guitarist Klinghoffer,, which in 2009 replaced longtime player John Frusciante came with the title.

He added: "Josh showed up one day, maybe a day before there was some sort of deadline for a title, and he wrote ['I'm With You'] on a piece of paper and we all kind of put our eyes on it at the same time and went: 'That is the title of our record.'"

The first single from the album 'The Adventure Of Raindance Maggie' will released on 18th July 2011. 'I'm With You' is due for release on August 30.
