According to the Red Hot Chili Peppers's drummer Chad Smith has confirmed the band will release new album in upcoming August 2011.According to the Rock It Out reports that Smith said the album, which is still without a title at present, will be released in the "last week of August".

He added: "It's been going good. We got lots of songs, we're just choosing the ones that are gonna be on the album. It sounds great."
The new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, John Frusciante place in the 2010 Speaking Up, Smith said: "He brought a lot to the table, he's an excellent writer."
